This is a Goan traditional craft that uses skills to weave cane strips into an intricate panel that was often used in wooden furniture like chairs, sofas, etc. In recent times the cane work has been replaced by plastic strips that pale in comparison to the rustic look of old Goan furniture. Winti is extremely skilled and is perhaps one of the few young Goans who has kept this skill alive!
